DIY Couture Footstool

Another fab homeware thrifty DIY from the fabulous Sinead! Hope you’re ready to be amazed….

This footstool cost £5 from the Metro second hand furniture store, Ashley Road, and was in a really bad condition. But, having bought some £3 gorgeous John Lewis fabric it was totally transformed.

Of course one could do a proper furniture recovering course, but I find a few rough stitches works perfectly fine too!

A quick Etsy search will bring up up-cycled ones from £50, to over £500 if it’s all handmade!

So – think differently about worn out things you see in charity shops, and you can save yourself a fortune!
