Day 27 – Black and white and belted

DSC_0434

I love playsuits and wear them all the time as versatile simple outfit. I often throw a maxi skirt on top to keep warm and then ditch for a night out. But, I don’t wear much black so this one has been shunned to the back of my wardrobe. However, when I put it on this morning to decide whether to Wear or Donate it I added a belt and a blazer and decided it was suitable for an Autumn day of entrepreneur work! Any outfits that I decide aren’t good enough to show my lovely audience go into the ‘Donate’ pile so this one’s definitely a keeper. The pile of Donate outfits is growing though so there’s going to be a mammoth post at the end of the month with them all in.

Celebrity Look – For Less!

I have a (not so) secret girl crush on Rosie Huntingdon-Whitely and when I saw this outfit it instantly reminded me of the ‘Airport to Party’ look I did a few weeks ago. What do you think – good bargain copy?? Read the full outfit post breakdown here…. My catsuit came in at an epic £1!

80s chiffon leotard

This is one of my favourite modelling shots in a thrifted outfit. It was taken by Andrew Robertson and you can see some of his other portfolio shots here.

The leotard was a real gift from the charity shop karma gods…. I borrowed one off a friend of mine for a shoot previously and then spotted this one in good old Waggy Tails charity shop on Ashley Road and snapped it up!

A bargain outfit I think you’ll agree!!

Velvet and vintage – It must be Christmas!

It’s almost Christmas! I am super excited as it means I’m back home after a long stint in Norway. However wonderful being away is, there really is no place like home, and I always appreciate it more when I’ve been abroad.

The main thing that I am noticing as different to Norway is, of course, the lack of snow… I am constantly boiling at the moment and am thrilled to not be wearing snow boots every day! To celebrate that fact, today’s blog post was entirely inspired by wearing tights! It may sound simple but that’s a huge luxury compared to thermals, trousers, and three coats – which is what I’ve been used to. And of course, as we’re so close to Christmas I just had to throw in some velvet!

I am also loving the luxe tshirt trend and am almost always in a silk, lace, glittery or sequinned tshirt at the moment paired with jeans, trousers or a maxi skirt. I don’t think I’ll ever grow out of this simple, chic and effortless trend.

Not sure what I’m wearing for Christmas day yet…. but will share once it’s arranged. And New Years is promising to be a very bloggable event with several of my friends volunteering to take on the Pauper Blog challenge too! Watch this space…
